Zachary received his BA in international and comparative politics with a focus on Africa, South of the Sahara from Western Michigan University and his MA in political science from Michigan State University, where he studied the effects of civil conflict on the environment. As a student, Zachary studied abroad at Universiteit van Amsterdam, where he took classes on Dutch culture and society and international development. He also spent time in Kenya working on development projects. A native Michigander, he enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, and bird watching. Zachary is excited to work with students to find the study abroad program that matches their passions and interests.
