William Linn

William has been an ESOL teacher for 10 years, primarily at community organizations in New York City. He earned his MA in TESOL from SIT Graduate Institute in 2011 and has worked as a teacher educator since 2015. His interests in applied linguistics are focused on identity, motivation, and ecological approaches to second language acquisition. William is currently the ESOL professional development associate at the Literacy Assistance Center in New York City. His work there includes facilitating workshops on a variety of topics such as teaching multi-level classes, curriculum design, and learner autonomy as well as training ESOL teachers in the Literacy Assistance Center’s TESLA certificate program.
