Tolkyn Abdirova

Tolkyn Abdirova is originally from Kazakhstan. She has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology with a concentration in Oil and Gas Business from Kazakh-British Technical University. She has seven years of management experience at the biggest gas transportation company in Kazakhstan. In 2020, she decided to change her career path and move to Iceland. She earned a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Iceland. In 2022, Tolkyn worked as a program coordinator for the SIT summer Iceland program and returned to SIT in 2023.
