Paola Cruz Hernández

Paola was born and raised in the valley of Oaxaca, of Zapotec and Mixtec descent. She graduated from Oaxaca State University with a BA in language and education, where she worked teaching Spanish and Zapotec. Paola has contributed to the promotion and safeguarding of native languages through digital platforms for learning the Mixtec language, along with the ÑUU AYAVA collective in the “Dakua’a To’on Dadavi” APP. She has participated in the creation of programs to decolonize language education in preschool, teaching English and Zapotec through playful and contextualized methods in the Oaxacan community, emphasizing cultural elements and native languages.
