Nokubonga Ralayo

Nokubonga (Noks) Ralayo is a research author, activist, feminist, and businesswoman with more than 10 years of experience in the South African NGO sector. She has a background in sociology and public policy, and has worked as an independent consultant for research, fieldwork, data management, and facilitation. She is one of the few female minibus taxi owners in the city and is part of a program called the Innovative Entrepreneur Program for young, black entrepreneurs. Noks also runs career guidance and skills development programs for unemployed youth (18–35 years old) in her community. Additionally she co-founded one of the biggest education-based NGOs in the country, Equal Education, and has been involved in education for many years with schoolchildren and young adults.
