Janaira Ramirez

Janaira is an educator and environmental organizer based in New York City. Her professional background is in environmental policy and advocacy. She is an alumni of the IHP Cities program and worked as the assistant launch coordinator for the Spring 2024 launch. Janaira holds a BA in political science with a focus on political theory. She is currently enrolled in the advanced geographic information systems program at Hunter College and recently completed the Forefront Fellowship at the Urban Design Forum. She is particularly interested in how we can design urban environments that mitigate the effects of climate change and facilitate positive health outcomes.
