Helen Lamb, PhD
Dr. Helen Lamb holds a PhD in environmental science, focusing on glacial geochemistry, and has been involved in sustainability and climate leadership throughout her career, including training as a Climate Reality leader and winning several awards for sustainability practice.
Before joining SIT as the academic director of the summer program, Australia: Sustainability and Envoronmental Action, Dr. Lamb worked at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where she managed the Master of Environment program for 10 years. After that role, she was the principal of Wilam Hall, a residential college with the University of Melbourne with a strong focus on environmental and social sustainability. She has been involved with the Sustainability and Environmental Action Semester program with SIT Australia since the start of 2025.
Helen integrates sustainable practices into her daily life through growing and preserving food, crafting, and upcycling.
