Fiona Kirk, MS

As the internship and program coordinator, Fiona is responsible for every aspect of the internship program, from managing SIT Amsterdam’s network of internship providers, to matching students with an internship, advising them throughout the internship, and evaluating the internship projects at the end of the semester. Fiona is also closely involved with the design and delivery of the excursion to Morocco and provides support to students in the area of health, safety, and well-being. She holds an MS in sociology and social policy from Utrecht University and has a background in geography which she studied at Trinity College Dublin. Prior to joining SIT, Fiona spent several years working for various international NGOs. She is interested and engaged in activism on reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ and gender equity, and climate justice.
