Bhawana Oli, MA

Bhawana Oli comes from the eastern borderlands of Nepal. She completed a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu and an MA in English with social sciences from the Institute of Advanced Communication, Education and Research (IACER), Pokhara University. She started practicing research in the well-known research organization, Martin Chautari of Nepal. Her research interest is in gender and environmental issues. Before joining SIT in 2023 as an academic coordinator, she taught social sciences and English courses at the local college and worked as a consultant with CARE Nepal and the Asia Foundation on projects focused on women rights, their political representation, and gender-based violence.
