Barsha Tamang, MA

Barsha Tamang is a sociologist and educator dedicated to youth empowerment. As the co-founder of Lokopakar, she creates safe global platforms for youth, especially girls. Her self-directed initiatives have impacted a considerable number of Nepali adolescents. She channels this passion into her role as an adjunct lecturer at Thames International College and through grassroots projects in government schools. Barsha is an alumna of the prestigious U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and a recipient of the Princess Helen Shah Inspiration Woman of the Year Award.
