Arcadio Balibbiler Castillo

Arcadio is an ichthyologist by training. He studied his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Russia specializing in fish reproduction. He is an active member of the Central American Indigenous Fishermen’s Network and is a board member of the Institute of Guna Research of the Guna Yala General Congress. He is a fervent supporter of Caribbean marine conservation in his home region of Guna Yala and volunteers with numerous organizations and conservation projects.
