World Learning, School for International Training (SIT), and The Experiment in International Living are deeply saddened by the tragic event that took place Monday at a Groundworks shelter—a place meant to be a safe space both for those in need and for those committed to supporting the most vulnerable among us. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the victim, to the larger Groundworks family, and to the wider Brattleboro community suffering as a result of this loss.

At this difficult time, we will also continue to promote a spirit of compassion as we all find ways to process this tragedy and come together to comfort and heal.
