School for International Training (SIT) understands the uncertainty students may be feeling about the U.S. Department of State's Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program (Gilman Program), and we're here to help. SIT will ensure funding as needed for awardees of the Gilman Program who are participating in SIT Study Abroad programs in summer and fall 2025. Awards will include up to $3,000 for summer programs and $5,000 for semester programs. Please note that Gilman Program funds cannot be combined with other SIT scholarships. The SIT Gilman Recognition Scholarship will only be provided if the federal funding freeze impacting the release of the Gilman Program scholarships remains in effect at the payment deadline for your study abroad program.

The Gilman Program supports students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad. The Gilman Program is a competitive, merit-based scholarship. To be eligible, applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program or internship.

For additional information on the Gilman Program, please visit their website.
