BRATTLEBORO, Vermont—School for International Training and City Year are proud to announce the extension of a partnership that provides scholarships to City Year participants who enroll in any SIT Graduate Institute hybrid or Global MA program. The new agreement includes an increase in the scholarship amounts.

Through the partnership, SIT will waive the application fee for City Year AmeriCorps members and those who have completed at least one term of service. Accepted applicants automatically receive a $10,000 scholarship for any of SIT’s one-year Global MA program, or at least a $7,500 scholarship toward a part-time hybrid program.

“We are very proud to continue to partner with City Year to advance our shared values and priorities,” said Mory Pagel, SIT vice president for innovation, strategy, and partnerships. “This partnership highlights the visions of both organizations, integrating the power of knowledge and service in addressing critical global issues.”

Pagel said City Year participants are an excellent fit for SIT Graduate programs including the full-time global programs that take place on SIT’s campus locations around the world. “These idealistic and committed leaders have a high level of maturity, insight, and experience working in diverse settings,” he noted.

City Year staff employed for at least two years are also eligible for these benefits. Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on the strength of their application.

Eligible SIT MA programs are:

Global Master of Arts (full time)

Master of Arts (part-time hybrid)

In addition to the scholarships and fee waiver, admitted students may defer enrollment by one year if they decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their studies.
