Carlota Laucata Quispe
Carlota Laucata Quispe has a bachelor’s degree and license in tourism, belonging to the Quechua Indigenous community of Huilloc, Ollantaytambo, Cuzco. She founded LUXANDES PERU, a project with the aim of supporting Indigenous women in her community and creating opportunities for economic independence through experiential and sustainable tourism, taking advantage of the valuable cultural and natural attractions that her community of origin has. As a program assistant, Carlota works with our students and staff members to facilitate the diverse component of the program. She provides support for topic lectures and language courses, academic excursions, and homestays. Also, she assists students during the process of intercultural experiential education.
