Sarah Olson, MS

Sarah Olson is originally from the US and was inspired to move to Reykjavík in 2017 after a visit to Iceland. She has a Master’s Degree in Environment and Natural Resources with a concentration in Energy Economics, Policy and Sustainability from the University of Iceland. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Minnesota and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Botany with a Certificate in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sarah has over 15 years of experience in outdoor and environmental education where she has taught people of all ages using experiential methods. In 2018, Sarah worked as a Program Assistant for the SIT summer Iceland program and returned to SIT in 2021. While not working for SIT she enjoys hiking, knitting, and working at a local school to practice her Icelandic.
