Laxmi Simkhada

Laxmi was born in Dhading, mid hills of Nepal before her family moved to Kathmandu. She completed a Bachelor of Business Studies and is presently completing a masters in rural development and a post graduate diploma in counselling psychology, all from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. She began her professional life as an international guest manager and facilitator in Osho Tapoban, a nonprofit organization, meditation, and retreat center based in Kathmandu. Before joining SIT in the beginning of 2023, she spent two years working as the language and cultural facilitator (LCF) at Peace Corps, Nepal. She is also a certified yoga instructor and meditation coach. Laxmi is deeply interested in cross-cultural interactions and is excited to teach Nepali Language in creative ways.
