Esperanza Duran, PhD

Dr. Duran has a PhD from Oxford University. She has conducted research and taught at the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), London School of Economics, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), El Colegio de Mexico, and University College Dublin’s Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, and Dar Al-Hekma University in Jeddah. She has published peer-reviewed articles in international journals including Journal of the History of Ideas, International Affairs, The World Today, and Journal of World Intellectual Property, among others, and has written and edited books published by Cambridge University Press, Routledge & Kegan Paul, and Cameron May, among others. She gained managerial and policy-making experience as senior economist at the IMF and World Gold Council, country officer and economist at the World Bank, and founding executive director of the Agency of International Trade Information and Cooperation (AITIC) in Geneva.
