Candice Moore, PhD

Candice Moore is a senior lecturer in international relations at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She currently publishes in the fields of South African foreign policy and international issues as they affect the Global South. She has represented South Africa in BRICS Academic Forum meetings in Durban (2013), Rio de Janeiro (2014), and Beijing (2014). She has also taught at a number of South African universities. Candice completed a master’s in international relations, focusing on regional integration and migration at Cambridge University in 2002, and a PhD in the foreign policies of South Africa and Brazil under Mbeki and Lula, respectively at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2011. Candice is a past editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies, African Journal of Conflict Resolution, and most recently of African Security Review.
