Ben Efird has worked in the field of international education since 2008. He joined the Custom and Faculty-led Programs unit in 2022 as the programs manager for strategic partnerships and data systems. Previously, Ben has worked on the enrollment and institutional relations teams at DIS-Study Abroad in Scandinavia as well as at SIT as the university relations manager for the Midwest from 2013-2015. Most recently, Ben was the assistant director of study away at Furman University where his main responsibilities centered around supporting faculty in developing short-term study abroad opportunities for students. Ben is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and holds a bachelor’s in history and political science from Elon University and a master’s in communication studies with a concentration in international public relations from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
