Choose Between Two Degree Formats
Master of Arts in TESOL, On Campus
Through the full-time program, students can complete their degree in just one year. This means you pay less in tuition and start teaching sooner. The program begins in September, concludes in May, and culminates with a portfolio of learning. Learn more about the MA in TESOL, On Campus.
Master of Arts in TESOL, Low Residency
This distance-learning program offers current teachers SIT’s highly regarded TESOL graduate education—grounded in reflective practice and experiential learning—through a remote format. Students complete the majority of coursework online while staying in their current jobs and communities and enjoy two short-term (3-week) summer sessions on SIT’s beautiful campus in Vermont. Both programs lead to the same degree and include similar courses. All students develop a practice of reflection, learn through experience, and are able to situate their work in a global context. Learning is balanced in the domains of knowledge, skills, attitude, and awareness in the context of language.
