Master of Arts in TESOL For Practicing Teachers of English
Summer Master of Arts in TESOL (SMAT)
For the practicing teacher of English to speakers of other languages, SIT offers a summer TESOL program reducing time away from home and work. The program includes 8-week semesters on SIT’s campus, mid-June to mid-August, for two summers. Following the first summer, students return to their classrooms and practice what they have learned, host an SIT supervisor during the year, and work online with their SIT peers. Second summer learning examines the previous year’s teaching in close and meaningful ways. A final paper deepens competencies in an area of the student’s choosing.
