Financial Aid Overview for Prospective Students
SIT welcomes students from all economic backgrounds. Students commonly fund their SIT degree through a variety of sources, including federal and private loans, SIT grants and scholarships, scholarships from other sources, and personal and family funds. The financial aid office provides information on all aspects of funding an SIT degree.
Financial aid awards are made after you have been offered admission. Your financial aid application will be reviewed in the order it is received, and your award will be communicated after the admissions deadline of April 6, 2012. Your financial aid must be accepted within two weeks of your award notification.
SIT Scholarships and Grants
SIT offers gift aid based on a combination of need and merit. Average gifts range between $500 and $5,000 for US citizens and permanent residents, and between $10,000 and $15,000 for international students. Several competitive scholarships have also been established to recognize students who reflect the SIT mission through their professional and personal lives.
No additional application is required for SIT gift aid and competitive scholarships. Accepted students who have applied for financial aid will be automatically considered.
