International Policy and Citizen Advocacy: Combating Human Trafficking

This intensive one-week, fast-paced, experience-based course provides students with a real-life, practical, inside view of how public policy on human trafficking is formulated, implemented, and enforced — and how global citizens organize to influence that policy. The course will include:

  • Visits to key government offices and advocacy organizations to dialog with key officials and advocacy professionals
  • Classroom lectures, student presentations, readings, and debriefing sessions to share lessons learned
  • An individual lobbying visit with a government official

Cost: $150 administrative fee, plus approximately $150 out-of-pocket for local transportation and meals.
