Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
"SIT is the best in the field of teacher education."

I never thought I'd say this one year after beginning my SIT program: I'm now an instructor of English as a Second Language at a US university, where I work with specially selected high school students preparing for college.
I chose SIT because I wanted to improve my teaching and take the next step toward more rewarding employment. But I worried whether doing so was really a good enough reason to leave my job and life in Seoul.
All worries vanished when, at a teacher-training course, I talked with public school teachers, language school instructors, and university faculty, and realized the strength of SIT's reputation in the field. SIT turned out to be even better than I expected. Studying with former presidents of TESOL and IATEFL and renowned authors on SIT's faculty was an unforgettable experience.
Shortly after completing my SIT coursework, I was offered a full-time teaching position. I never could have imagined that! But the MAT program's required internship gave me the chance to prove my teaching ability. SIT gave me the tools to connect with my students more than ever. I continue to use SIT's approaches to improve my teaching, and I'm much more satisfied in my work as a result.
