Academic Year 2013-2014
Below are the estimated expenses to complete the entire certificate for students who complete the graduation requirements according to SIT's suggested schedule.
|Estimated Expenses for Academic Year 2013-2014|
Explanation of Costs
Upon acceptance to the degree program, students make a $400 deposit that will reserve their place in the class and is credited toward the first-term tuition. This deposit is non-refundable. In the case of student deferment, the enrollment deposit may be retained on account for a maximum of two years.
Late Payment Fee
Late fees ($50.00 per occurrence) will apply for payment received after the due date.
Students who wish to live in the graduate student dorms during the on-campus session will need to submit a housing agreement and $100 deposit, which is applied toward the room fee. Students who live on campus are automatically enrolled in a full meal plan. For those who prefer to stay off campus, a number of local hotels and inns in Vermont offer discounts for SIT students.
Intensive Field Courses
Students can satisfy the program’s two-credit elective requirement in a number of ways, including by participating in field courses offered around the world (most recently in Bangladesh, Mexico, and Turkey). Participation in an SIT field course is optional, and additional program fees apply.
Dismissal for Non-Payment of Fees
Students are expected to pay their tuition and fees in full and on time. If payment is not made on schedule and if satisfactory payment arrangements are not made with Student Accounts, the student is administratively withdrawn for non-payment.
Reservation of Rights
The SIT Graduate Institute reserves the right to alter, without notice, its policies and fees.
