Overview

Mid-year Field Seminar in Rwanda

The Certificate in Conflict Transformation is a one-year, low-residency, 14-16 graduate credits and professional development program. Through a combination of pedagogical approaches, participants develop theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on skills needed to design and manage programs that transform conflict and promote healing and reconciliation in individuals and communities torn by violent conflict.

The 14-16 graduate credits may be applied towards a Master Degrees at the SIT Graduate Institute: Master of Art in Conflict Transformation, or Master in Intercultural Services, Leadership and Management.  The program combines distance-learning courses with limited on-site meetings to minimize time away from jobs and families while maintaining an international cohort learning community and the experiential learning pedagogy characteristic of the SIT Graduate Institute.

Concentrations

Participants chose between two concentrations: Psychosocial Foundations of Peacebuilding or Civil Society Initiatives in Peacebuilding program.
