A member of the SIT Graduate Institute faculty since 1988, Dr. Blanchard developed and taught the SIT Graduate Institute’s first course in conflict transformation and directed a five-year, short-term training program for Southeast Asian development professionals in the US and in Southeast Asia. She has managed  programs for the US Peace Corps and for the Intergovernmental Organization for Migration in Switzerland and Eastern Europe, has consulted for the Karuna Center for Peacebuilding on a project in Bosnia, and is currently working on an educational project in Asella, Arsi, Ethiopia. She teaches the Journeys of Forgiveness course at the SIT Graduate Institute and is the faculty advisor for the on-campus spirituality exploration group. Dr. Blanchard is engaged in her local community by serving on two boards, one focused on arts activism and the other on environmental education.
