Helen Smith
Helen Smith, a graduate of SIT's Master of Arts in Teaching program (MAT 27), hails from the UK but immigrated to Australia in 2001. An EFL teacher since 1987, she has taught in many countries including Turkey, Italy, Japan and the Czech Republic. Her teacher training experience began in 1996 as a CELTA trainer and then later she became an SIT TESOL trainer and trainer of trainers in 2000. Since this time, she has had the good fortune to work on SIT courses with teachers all over the world, including Lithuania, Thailand, Algeria, Kosovo and South Korea. She is now based in Melbourne and teaches international students at a local university. When Helen is not being passionate about training and meeting other trainers, she is pursuing her other profession with equal passion in the theatre and performing arts.
