Hector Alvarado
Hector studied Mechanical Engineering and Human Resources Administration. He holds a TESOL Certificate from The School for International Training-SIT. He has taught EFL students of different ages and levels. He has also worked as the courses coordinator, teacher trainer and site academic coordinator for a branch of the bi-national center (Instituto Guatemalteco Americano-IGA) in Quetzatenango, Guatemala.
Among other conferences, Hector has participated as a presenter in the Training for Teachers of English in Quetzaltenango and in the Teacher Training Course in Guatemala City, both offered by Instituto Guatemalteco Americano-IGA, he was also a presenter at the TESOL conference held in New York City in 2008. He currently lives in the city of Quetzaltenango, in the Western Highlands of Guatemala (at 7600 feet above sea level!), where he enjoys doing off-road motorcycling.
