SIT Graduate Institute TESOL Certificate and Best Practices in TESOL
Meet Our Trainers
Elias Castillo
My life started sixty one years ago in a paradisiacal community of Ecuador surrounded by mountains and crossed by rivers. My education took me to different cities of my country. When I was twelve years old, I became in contact with languages: I studied Italian, Latin and Old Greek, then English and Quichua; also I took a short course in German. My major at college was Spanish Language and Literature, and then I got a MA in Education. I have been a teacher for most of my life: At the US Peace Corps, two Universities, two High Schools, and various Language Centers. My training and professional experiences are mostly with the Spanish Language and Culture, but I have enjoyed teaching some courses in English as well. At present, I am the director of the Spanish and Culture Center and a TESOL trainer at EIL-Ecuador, Quito.
