SIT faculty have worked across the world as academics, trainers, and developers in nonprofit, education, and public sectors. They are founders and directors of NGOs, filmmakers and artists for a variety of public- and private-sector organizations and agencies. They have published research on a diversity of topics ranging from sustainable industrial development to brain-friendly learning and the role of technology in language teaching.

  • Our Extensive Network of Experts

On SIT’s global programs, students learn from local experts: academics, activists, businesspeople, artists, community leaders, and government officials. This access to local perspectives and knowledge gives students a greater understanding of the issues and innovations within their host communities.

  • Transforming Minds and Lives

SIT’s experiential, reflective approach to education teaches students to challenge their preconceptions and transform the way they see the world. We were founded on the idea that cultural exchange leads to positive social change. Our students believe in this mission and live it in their work in the world.
